The "Big Al" mascot officially debuted at the 1980 Sugar Bowl, when the 1979 Alabama Crimson Tide football team defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks. Student Hugh Dye earned the honor to bring "Big Al" back to life in New Orleans, followed by Kent Howard and Maury Smith to kick off the inaugural 1980 season and roam the sidelines.

Your University of Alabama logo turned into a work of art!  Each piece of artwork is a perfect combination of modern, 3D metal construction and vintage-style artistry.  It’s the perfect addition to any Crimson Tide fan's basement, office, man cave or anywhere you want to show your Roll Tide  pride. They make great gifts if you are looking for a unique piece of high quality artwork for your favorite fan.

Hex Head Art blends 3D geometry of your favorite team mascot or logo, with our signature vintage paint finishes. Our vintage style gives every piece an “old, but clean” look that is hand fashioned by our artists right here in the USA, so each piece of Alabama artwork is unique.
